Nilanjan P. Choudhury – Author and Theatre person

We interviewed Nilanjan P. Choudhury, our illustrious neighbour with two published books to his credit and a theatre-person of 18 years. The interview itself is a treat and a must-read for all who pick up the Write Your Mind magazine. Our team of editors found Nilanjan to be a very inspiring and endearing individual. And the interview brings out thatt aspect of him.

This is what his website says about him:

Nilanjan P. Choudhury’s debut novel Bali and the Ocean of Milk received wide critical acclaim and was a brief best-seller. The Case of the Secretive Sister is his second novel and the first adventure in the Chatterjee Institute of Detection series. He has also written a full-length play entitled “The Square Root of a Sonnet” which explores the dramatic events that accompanied the discovery of black holes by the Indian-American astrophysicist and Nobel laureate, Subramanyan Chandrasekhar.

Nilanjan confesses to having studied at IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Kanpur and hopes that this will not be held against him. He lives in Bangalore with his wife, a daughter, a mother-in-law, a day job in the IT industry and a home loan. It’s a wonder he manages to write anything at all apart from EMI cheques.
